Troop 203
'CONVOCATION'
Since 1912, the Eagle Scout rank has represented a milestone of accomplishment—perhaps without equal—that is recognized across the country and even the world. Those who have earned the Eagle Scout rank count it among their most treasured achievements. “Eagle Scout” is not just an award; it is a state of being. Those who earned it as youth continue to earn it every day as adults. That is why an Eagle Scout IS an Eagle Scout—not was.
The two most common collective terms for a group of eagles are a 'soar' of eagles or a 'convocation' of eagles. The term 'soar' is used because it is this characteristic that we notice as eagles are usually spotted soaring high in the sky. With a wingspan of between 6' and 7', eagles are built to soar rather than to sit idly. A 'convocation' means a large gathering and here we are referring to a large gathering of eagles from Troop #203.
Since 1963, Troop 203 has helped boys grow into good citizens and leaders. Over one-hundred of those fine Scouts have even been able to achieve the rank of Eagle through hard work and perseverance. Listed below is our 'Convocation', of Eagle Scouts from Troop 203.
