Since 1963, Troop #203 has made a strong commitment to provide its youth with a quality scouting program. One that will help them learn and develop their leadership skills and equip them to serve within their families, their communities, and in the world of tomorrow.
Troop 203 was originally chartered in 1963 at Pope School and over the years has transformed from a small group of eager boys and leaders to a Troop of over 20 boys operating in multiple Patrols. Our Scouting program is built around the traditions of Scouting and uses the Patrol Method to guide the young men of our Troop to have the opportunity to learn and use leadership skills in planning outings, preparing menus, teaching outdoor skills, encouraging advancement, solving problems, handling finances, and many other activities.
“The patrol method is not a way to operate a Boy Scout troop, it is the only way. Unless the patrol method is in operation, you don't really have a Boy Scout troop.”
- Robert S. S. Baden-Powell
